Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ lb ground pork
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 12 oz pasta (fusilli, rotini, or egg noodles)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, pepper, allspice, and nutmeg. Mix until well combined and shape into small meatballs.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the meatballs in batches until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour to create a roux. Cook for 1–2 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. Gradually whisk in beef broth and heavy cream; add Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer for another 5–10 minutes to absorb flavors.
  6. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain well.
  7. Serve pasta topped with meatballs and sauce; garnish with fresh parsley.
