  • 1 loaf Brioche or Challah bread, sliced

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Make the Topping: In another bowl, mix melted butter, chopped pecans, brown sugar, and salt until well combined.
  3. Whisk Together Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, ground cinnamon, pumpkin spice, vanilla extract, milk, pumpkin puree, and sweetened condensed milk until blended.
  4. Assemble the Bake: Grease a baking dish and layer half of the sliced bread. Spread half of the cream cheese filling over it and pour half of the egg mixture on top. Repeat layers.
  5. Add Topping and Bake: Sprinkle the topping mixture over the assembled bake. Cover with foil and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight if desired. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake uncovered for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.
