Philly Cheesesteak Bowls offer a delicious twist on the classic sandwich while maintaining a low-carb profile. This easy-to-make dinner idea features tender steak, vibrant bell peppers, and gooey cheese, all served over a base of your choice—be it cauliflower rice, mashed potatoes, or white rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (non-alcoholic)
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • Cauliflower rice, mashed potatoes, or white rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Sear for 3–4 minutes until browned; then remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add onions, bell peppers, and garlic. Sauté for 4–5 minutes until softened.
  3. Divide your chosen base (cauliflower rice, mashed potatoes, or white rice) among bowls. Layer the cooked steak and sautéed veggies on top.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese over each bowl and let it melt naturally or broil briefly for extra crispiness.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
