Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups dry ditalini pasta
  • 2 1/23 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 34 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-low heat, add olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  2. Add the ditalini pasta to the skillet and stir to combine with the garlic.
  3. Pour in chicken broth until the pasta is covered. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for about 9-10 minutes.
  4. Check pasta doneness; there should be some broth left which will absorb as it cools.
  5. Drizzle in heavy cream while stirring over low heat for about one minute.
  6. Remove from heat, add butter and parmesan cheese, stirring until melted into a creamy sauce.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed before serving.
